Had you ever heard about Joseon? It’s a country in han peninsula from 1397 to 1910. The first king of Joseon is Lee Seong Gyae. He made the Joseon by Whi Hya Do Retreat. The capital city of Joseon is Hanyang, which is the capital city of Korea. And in hangyang, there were five palaces. It named Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, Deoksugung, and Gyeonghuigung. Joseon was the country of confucianism. In almost all country have many parties. Joseon also had a parties. Its name was Hungu and Sarim. But because of Jungjong coup, Hungu nearly disappeared. And Sarim divided into Dongin and Seoin. During king Seonjo’s era, between a very important job, 신의겸 and 김효원 fighted to do that job. So the people who support 신의겸 became Seoin and people who support 김효원 became Dongin. The person who named Jeongyeorip was Seoin. But he changed his party to Dongin. And he tried to make a country that people can dethrone the king. So Seoin people thought that he conspired to rebel. Seoin said what is he doing. So millitary officers tried to catch him. But when officers catch he, he was already died. So Seoin thought that Dongin people thinks like what he think, so they killed the most of Dongin people. So Dongin people were angry because almost no one thought like that. So in Dongin party, there were two opinion. First was redo the thing that Seoin did, and another one was be friend with Seoin. The people thought like first opinion called Bukin and who thought like second opinion is called Namin. Joseon didn’t had big war during first 200years. But in 1592, when Doyotomi Hideyosi finaly unified the Japan. And Japan invaded the Joseon. We call this Imjin war. And after 44 years, Qing china almost conquered the Ming china. Ming china was the king country of Joseon. So in Joseon court civil officers were talked about to take care the Qing china and betray the Ming china or just take care of Ming china. So King Gwanghaegun, the fifteenth king of Joseon tried to cake care of both Qing and Ming, but because of King Gwanghaegun go out of the office and started the King Injo’s era, Joseon excluded the Qing china. So Qing china invaded the Joseon to make Joseon take care of Qing china. We call this Byeongja war. But we losed by Qing china. The war didn’t stopped from king Seonjo to king Injo. Arter king Hyojong died, the Seoin and Namin was fighted by Hyojong’s mother wearing traditional mourning clothes. They were fighted because Hyojong was adopted son. Namin said ‘Either he is adopted son, he is a king so she need to wear 3 years’ and Seoin said ‘Either he is a king, he is adopted son so she need to wear 1 years’. And Seoin winned. But after Hyojing’s wife died they also fighter. Seoin said 9 months and Namin said 12 months . And then Namin winned. We call this Yaesong fight. And during Sukjong’s era, he thought to many power in one party is not good, so he changed the party who engage politics. We call this Hwanguk. There were three Hwanguk during king Sukjong.And finally Seoin getted the joseon court. And Seoin divided again into Noron and Soron. King Yeongjo was also noron so he killed his son Sado by putting him on rice chest. But actual thing was Noron thought if crown prince Sado became a king, Sorin will catch the Joseon court. Because crown prince Sado was Soron. So Noron make broke the relationship pbetween king Yeongjo and crown prince Sado. Yeongjo knew the dangerous of the party so he make Tangpyeongchaek. It is using the idea both twoof it. It means if he pick the idea if noron and then next idea well pick from soron. And his grandson Jeongjo made Suwon hwaseong fortress. It was built for living with queen Haegyeonggung. And after king Jeonjo, king Sunjo's era started. During Sunjo's era to Cheoljong's era Joseon's politics were done in one clan. We call this Saedo policy. And after Saedo policy, king Gojong started his era. He tried to trade with foreigners because his father Heungseondaewongun closed the door of trade. And he tried to change Joseon to Daehan empire vlbut not many country said Joseon as empire. In 1905, Leewanyong singed treaty that Japan controls the Joseon's trade. And finally in 1910, the Japanese colonisation started. |
