Hello, my name is Siyeon, and today I went to the War Memorial of Korea, to learn about the wars of Korea. Today, I will talk about the Battle of Haengju and Ahn-Junggeon.

Firstly, about the battle of Haengju, I learned that the battle took place in the Japanese Invasion. The Japanese usually climbs the wall, but in this war, the women participated too by carrying rocks in their aprons and dropping it on the Japanese, stopping the enemy from climbing. The men fought the Japanese soldiers with their weapons. Thanks to the brave Koreans, the victory of the Battle of Haengju became Korea's!
Also, I learned about Ahn-Junggeon. Ahn-Junggeon was a brave freedom fighter. He joined the righteous armies as well. With his fellow fighters, they created the "Finger Cutting League", cutting their fourth finger. They drew the Korean flag with their blood, showing that they will give up their lives for the independence of Korea. Unfortunately, Ahn-Junggeon shot Ito Hirobumi and was executed by the Japanese.

I felt thankful to those who fought for our Korea. They're the ones who led us to success and today's Korea. Thank you!
