Hello, my name is Mingwan. I went to the Kim Gu Memorial and learned many things about a famous patriot who fought for Korean Independence, Kim Gu. I would like to tell you about him and his student, Yun Bongil.
As I said, Kim Gu was a person who fought for Korean Independence. He lived from 1876 to 1949. He was also a mentor to people like Yun Bongil. One hour before Yun Beongil threw a bomb at high-ranking Japanese officers, he met with Kim Gu. Then, he told Kim Gu that he would only live for about one hour. As a final gift to his mentor, he exchanged his expensive 6-won watch for Kim Gu¡¯s cheaper 2-won watch, knowing that Kim Gu would live longer than him.
I think that Kim Gu and his students were all truly admirable, especially Yun Bongil. I also think that Yun Bongil made the right decision to give his watch to his mentor because it showed his respect and loyalty to Kim Gu.
