Hello, I am Benny. Today I will be presenting about the Imjin war and Admiral Yi Sun-sin.

The Imjin war started when the great samurai leader Toyotomi Hideyoshi, when he ambushed the Korean Peninsula in the year of 1592. Toyotomi's main objective of the siege was destroying the Ming Dynasty. At that point, Joseon Korea was only a pathway to complete the great voyage to the Ming Dynasty's territory. However, Toyotomi Hideyoshi overlooked the fact that the Joseon Korea's Marine Corps led by Admiral Yi Sun-sin, became a massive force that no navy could bypass. This had led the Japanese samurai's and soldiers to result in fatal losses as in the Great Battle of Myeongnyang. However, the armed samurai's in the land were recently destroying most of the castles and grasping victory. This had led the King at that time to feel agitated by him and sent him to jail with the sole reason that he was a great leader. However after Wongyun died in the battle and his army was destroyed, the king decided to rank Yi Sun-sin back and sent him to other battles. Even though Admiral Yi Sun-sin died in the battle of Noryang, he might have committed suicide by not wearing his armour since he would be dead in either way of being betrayed by the king or dying by himself. Admiral Yi Sun-sin was an admirable person and has a reputable name untill today. After Admiral Yi's death the Imjin war had ended when the Ming and Joseon Dynasty formed an alliance and defeated all the soldiers of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, resulting in a stalemate between them. Later, the Japanese troops receded and led an end to the great battle of Imjin.

Thank you for listening.
