Hello everyone~ My name is Ellie! Today, I went to Seoul Museum of History. Seoul Museum of History mostly shows about Seoul's history and things which were in Seoul that time. First, there was the smoke signal station. One fire means an usual day (a normal day). Two fires mean the enemies can be seen. Three fires mean that the enemies came near the border. Four fires mean that the enemies crossed the border. Five fires mean that there will be war. Now, you may be thinking; 'What is the meaning of no fire?' If there is no fire lit on the station, it means that there is an emergency situation or the keeper is lazy! Also, there was about the Hopae. A hopae is an identificial card which has the name, class, date of birth on the front and it has the date of issue in the back. People showed this to the gatekeeper before they entered the gate. Lastly, there was about the umbilical cord jar. This is a special birth jar. The umbilical cord was put in this jar along with a stone which has the name and date of the birth of the baby. Bye bye~~ See you tomorrow! |
