Donggwal is the name for Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung, the East palaces. Seogual is the name for Gyeonghuigung the west palaces. There was the Six Ministries street leading up to Gwanghwamun. It was called Yukjogeori. There were six government offices located along the Yukjogeori. There is an east line and a west line. Next, there was the Unjongga Street. It was the commercial center of Joseon. There were licenced stores (Sijeon) in Unjongga street, and they obtained government permission, and in return they were given exclusive rights.
