I went to the Seoul History of Museum today to study about the history of our city Seoul. I was very excited to check about all the ideas I`ve learned about Seoul. I learned that from the era of the'Three Kingdoms', Seoul was very important because it had fertile soil, and it was the right place according to Feng-shui. It was well to defend, and it was also Joseon Dynasty`s capital.

Seoul is still the capital now, and it was built in ten months. During the Joseon Dynasty, there were 5 main palaces called Gyeongbok, Changduk, Changung, Gyungoun, and Gyunghui Palace. There were lots of official buildings near it.

Mainly, there were big, three groups inside Seoul. It was also called the Upper, Middle, and South villages. In the Upper Village, it was mostly reserved for the highly-ranking officials or rich people.

In the Middle Village, it`s location was in the center of Seoul and the people like the middle class members or rich people lived there. The Middle Class members was commonly a translator, merchant, lawyers, doctors, and other low officials who worked in the town hall.

Lastly, the South Village, was the place usually for farmers or other low officals who passed the tests. Sometimes rich people or noblemen lived there too.

It was all inside Seoul, and Gangnam became Seoul from the time of Japanese Colonial Period. Until then Seoul`s size was in the 4 doors. We learned also about the Six Main Official Buildings, and also your citizenship called hopae.

I didn`t go to the rest of the places, so I hope I could visit it soon enough. It was very fun to know about Seoul, where I live.
