Today I went to Gyeongbokgung Palace. I wanna talk about inner palace, outer palace, resting and hosting palace, and Gyeonghoeru. The inner palace is the area for the royal family and official work. The outer palce is for ceremonies and events. The resting and hosting palace is the area to rest. Gyeonghoeru is a resting and hosting palace. It's for official parties. It has 48 pillars, outer pillars are square and inner pillars are circle. Outer pillars means earth because it is square, and inner pillars means heaven because it is circle. This is Yin and Yang theory. I was informed that heaven is circle(round) and earth is square. Gyeonghoeru is the National Treasures Number 224. I like the things about inner palace , outer palace, resting and hosting palace, and Gyeonghoeru. |
