I will explain about Gyeonghoeru and Hyangwonjeong. Gyeonghoeru is a large place for resting and hosting. The outer pillars of Gyeonghoeru are square, and the inner pillars of Gyeonghoeru are round. It means the Yin and Yang theory.

Also Hyangwonjeong was built based on the Yin and Yang theory. Hyangwonjeong was restina place for royal family. There are square pond, and round island. Suare pond means Earth. Round island means heaven.

There was a sad story about Empress Myeong-seong in1895. Empress Myeong-seong was king,Gojong,'s wife. She was so smart. However she killed by Japanese. Her body was burned, and the ashes were thrown into Hyangwonjeong.
