Today, I visited Unhyeongung Palace. Unhyeongung Palace is the personel house of Heungson Daewongun. He was the father of Gojong. Heungson Daewongun acted like a fool and hang out with gangsters because if he seemed to be smart, he would have been killed by Andong Kim's clan. Gojong was the 26th king of the Joseon Dynasty. In 1897, he changed the name of the country to the Empire, Daehanjeguk.

Now, I'll tell you about Unhyeongung Palace. Sujiksa was the place where guards and servants stayed. Noandang is the Sarangchae of Unhyeongung Palace, and men lived here. Norakdang was the Anchae of the Unhyeongung Palace. It is where Empress Myeongseong recieved lessons to become a queen. Also, Gojong and Empress Myeongseong's marriage was held here. They were married, so Heungson Daewongun's family couldn't use Norakdang anymore. That's why they built Irodang and Heungson Daewongun's family stayed there.

I like Unhyeongung Palace because it was very magnificent and great. I learned a lot about the history of Unhyeongung Palace, and I think it was a very valuable exprriment.
