Today I visited the Unhyeongung palace. At first, I thought it would be pretty big palace like Gyeongbokgung. But, it was just similar as the other houses. The only special thing was that Heungsun Daewongun had lived there. At it was really just a house. But after Gojong became a king, Unhyeongung became a palace because it was his house. The sarangchae, the place men lived is Noandang. Heungsun Daewongun died here.

And the anchae is called Norakdang. It is the biggest building in Unhyeongung. Empress Myeongseong recieved lessons to be a queen here. Also, the wedding of Gojong and Empress Myeongseong was held in Norakdang.

Irodang was used as another anchae for Heungsun Daewongun's family because they could not use Norakdang after Gojong married Empress Myeongseong. Heungsun Daewongun's wife used Irodang. I was a little bit disappointed beause I had expected a great palace but it was pretty fun.
