Today I went to Namsan Hanok Village. I saw Kim Chunyeong, Min Yeonghwi, Yoon Taekyoung and Lee Seungup's house. The tile roof houses has six parts which are srangchae, Anchae, Henglangchae, kitchen, storage room, and the shrine. Today I liked the Jangdokdae(장독대) most. At country side there are also Jangdokdae. Jangdokdae is made of special kind of clay. Jangdokdae can breath. There are tiny holes to be made in it. Only air can go through the Jangdokdae. Water or dirt cannot go through the holes. So, this helpes with fermentation and the storage. The reason why I liked Jangdokdae is because it has lots of good things. It is better than the plastic so, I like it. And also it is a Korean traditional container which has the best quality. The chamber pot was also interesting to me. Thinking that toilet was so far and making a chamber pot was a good idea. And I think at night going to far toilet alone would be scary. So I think making a chamber pot and putting at every room was a very good idea. When people was living in Joseon didn’t like to make another people see their body, so they wore their clothes and do shower, the clothes will get on the body so other people could see it. Also if they wear clothes and do shower then it is not that much clean. It was a fun time at Namsan Hanok Village.
