Welcome to the 'Namsan Han-ok Village.

Today, I went to the Namsan Han-ok Village, and I want to explain about it today.

First, the facts.

In the Joseon Dynasty, there were three types of living places.

Primarily, the palace, secondly, the tiled roof house, lastly, the the thatched rook houses for the main.

The palace, is were the king and the queen, and where princes, and princesses live. It has an beautiful decoration painted with colors of five named dancheong.. The dancheong (´Üû) were only be allowed in palaces. The king was the one who could have his house more than 99 kans (Ä). And secondly, there is the itled roof. The tiled roof house were used by the nobleman.(Yangban, ¾ç¹Ý). The main parts of it is the Sarangchae, the Anchae, the haengnangchae, and lastly the shrine. Then thridly, there is the thatched rook houses. Those houses were used by the middle-low classes. The main material of the roof is the Straw. This house was very simple and small.

Those were the types of the houses during Joseon dynasty. There are some remained traditional Korean Houses which was once owned by such as Kim Chunyeong, Min Yeongwhi, and Yoon Taekyoung. They are the three main houses from Namsan Hanok village.

First, this is about Kim Chunyeong.  He was the head of the royal guards. This house's sarangchae has library quarters, with the rooms for the father and for the son. There is a Jankdokdae in his house too.

Secondly, Min yeongwhi was also a family of the royalty. His close relative;s were  Empress yseongseong. He has also made achievments such as making out the Cheonil Bank, The Whimoon School.

Lastly, Yoon Taekyoung, who was the father in law of King Sunjong, the last king of Joseon. This house is speacialy made into a very strange shape, with the shape f the Chinese chracter won (¿ø).This house has a Shrine.

Jangdokdae is a container used for storing food such as soybean source and pepper paste, soybean paste and Kimchi usally. It has a very good ventilation system. It is made out of a speacial clay.

A shrine is a place where the nobleman family went every morning to pray respect and fortune to their ancestors.

Lastly of all, there were alots of games such as 'Gong-gi, Jae-gi, Utt-nol-Lee (À·³îÀÌ) Dal-pand-Lee, Pang-ie, Bisuk chi-gi, and lots more like Tuh-oe'

After having a tour around the Hamsan Hanok Village, I found out many interesting facts that I didn't know at all. Ispeacially, I liked the part when I was talking about the traditional games. I was also very fun when I played this with the group and won it. I am hopping to get my family and explain about it to them, and play the traditional games once more with my younger brother too! I really hope I can get an another interest in the Namsan- Hanok Village when I visit there once more.

Thanks for reading my essay (and I mean it!)
