Today, I went around and wandered in Seoul Museum of History. I will tell you about the history of Seoul. Hanyang(Seoul) was considered in the officials as the capital of Joseun. Then it was really selected as capital of Joseun. The reason it was selected was of the Han river, fertile soil and beautiful scenery, and most of all, Feng Shui. The Six Ministries Street, and the east palace and west palace was famous. Then in the Japanese occupation, Seoul began to modernize, such as glasses, clocks, and hats. When we got liberation from the japanese, Seoul became even more modernized and developed as no country could have done. They brought cell phones, cars, apartements, etc. With that speed of development, Seoul grew out fast, and became the Seoul we knew. |
