I went to the Seoul Museum of History today. I learned that Joseon chose Hanyang as the new capital in 1394. It was chosen as the capitol because it was the best place according to Feng shui and Confucianism. I saw a model of the six ministries street too. Six ministries street was the street leading to Gwanghwamun. The government offices lined the east and west side. Also, there were 3 basic villages in Hanyang. It was Bukchon, Jungchon, and Namchon. The royal families and high level officers lived in Bukchon. In Jungchon, middle class people lived there and poor noblemen lived in Namchon. Hopae was an identification card of Joseon. On the front, it had the person¡¯s name, class, and date of birth. And on the back, it had the date of issue. This was used to enter the gate. It was my first time going to this museum and I enjoyed it. But I don¡¯t like museums very much so it was a little boring.¡±¡±
