I visited Seoul Museum of History. I would like to talk about Donggwol, Seogwol and the Hopae.

First, Donggwol is the name for Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung, which is the east palaces. Changdeokgung was built in 1405 as a secondary palace, and it was used as a main palace after the Japanese invasion of 1592.

Secondly I will talk about Seogwol. Seogwol is the name for Gyeonghuigung and Gyeongungung, which is the west palaces. Gyeeonghuigung was built in 1623, and served as the secondary palace. The area of Gyeonghuigung was Jungwongun's land, but was taken by Gwangaegun.

Lastly, I will tell you about the hapae. A hopae was an identification card. On the front, was the name, class and date of birth. The back had the date of issue.

It was a great experience to visit Museum of History to learn interesting history.
