Our last tour of Damduc Intensive Cource was to visit the National folk museum in Seoul. We learn about all of korean history. I will only write about the prehistory era.

The prehistory means that the time before the history. The feature of the prehistory is that they did not have any letter. It includes the stone age and the bronze age.

1) Stone age

In the stone age, people used tools made of the stone. The stone age was divided into the old stone age and the neolithic period.

At first, in the old stone age, people could make fire and use the tough stone tools. They lived in caves and hunted for food because the agriculture was not developed. When a place was devastated because of the hunting, they should move to another place for seeking new food.

Secondly, there was the enormous revolution during the neolithic period. People could start to grow crops and vegetables, so they could live in one place without moving another. The place should have rivers and large grasslands to water on the crops and to give them enough space. They learned how to store some crops for the winter. Moreover, they started to build the house made of the straw called ¡°Umzip¡±.

2) Bronze age

The bronze was the material mixed with copper and zinc. The first dynasty in Korean peninsula was founded in the bronze age, called ¡°Gozoseon¡±. There was the ruller in the dynasty to fight for lands, food and slaves.

The prehistory people were very smart and had various kinds of tools to use. It was a great time to watch those tools and stuffs.
