After the winter vacation, the friends I knew were separated into other classes. It was a new start for me and some of them. Today, we went to the ¡°Changduk-Kung¡± and toured it for about 2 hours. From now on, I will write about my background knowledge and the new information I learned today.
I have already learned a little on it in my school. I have already known that the Changduk-Kung was built by the Taejong Lee, Bangwon and that it is one of the UNESCO nation assets in Korea. It was burned in Japanese Invasion and rebuilt earlier than other palaces.
The information I learned today was very useful. There were a lot of colorful Dancheong showing Joseon Dynasty¡¯s Building Technology. It gave me a lot of impressive feelings and proudness. The blue roof in Seonjeong-jun was very expensive, so only the royal families could use it. Seonjeong-jun was the king¡¯ individual working office. Also, the Changduk-Kung was built in the harmony with the nature. If we compare with the Geungbok-Kung, the Geungkbok-Kung¡¯s building was built in a row and it was very easy to find way to the buildings while the Changduk-Kung was like a maze. I could feel the spirit of the reserving nature.
I learned a lot of it and it was the best trip in this camp.
