Hello, My name is Rachel. Today I went Gyeongungung. Gyeongungung has another name, "Deoksugung". But "Deoksugung" is changed by Japanes. So we said Gyeongungung is collet.

Japsang is figures and they are on the roof. We can see so many Japsangs, there are master of Buddhist monk Samjang, monkey sonogong, pig jeopalgye, and the imaginary water ghost saojeong.

Daehanmun is the main gate of Gyeonungung. Originally, Gyeonungung's main gate is Inhwamun, but roads around is narrow, so main gate changed to Daehanmun.

Junghwajeon is in the middle of palace, there place for official events. and also throne hall.

Seokeodang is two storey building. Gwanghaegun lock up Inmok, Queen Mother.

Hamnyeongjeon was used king's sleeping chamber, and also King Gojong died in Hamnyeongjeon.

Seokjojeon is western style stone building. It is another throne hall and reception guest, living room for government officials too. Jeonggwangheon is also western architectural disigns.

In octover 1897, Gojong changed status from king to empire. and also the name was changed from Joseon to Daehanjaeguk.

Jagyeongru is water clock, made by Jangyeongsil. Jagyeongru tell time automatically. This is designated No.229 at national treasure.
