My name is Amy and I'll talk about Sungkyunkwan that I visited today. It was the best educational institution for outstanding students of Joseon Dynasty. They built the space for the shrines, too. It is called Munmyo. The main gate of Munmyo is Sinsammun. It has three gates. The gate in the middle gate is for the spirit. They opened the middle gate when they had their memorial service. 

Myeongryungdang is the main hall that the students study. The main hall at the center was the space for the lectures. The students there took tests every day, every 10 day, and every month. I was surprised that they had to take so many tests. It seemed to be very challenging to continue to study at the Sungkyunkwan.

However Dongjae and Seojae were the dormitory. Dongjae is for the higher class students and Seojae was for the lower class ones. It is sad that they had separate places for students depending on their social status. I'm glad that I was not born in the Joseon dynasty and live in Daehanminkook now.
