Today we went to the Changgyeonggung Palace. It is a royal palace for the  queen, king's mother, his concubines. So the royal women usually used it.

It's size was smaller than Gyeongbokgung. Tongmyeongjun was it's main  hall. I thought it looked very beautiful. Gyeongchunjeon was where the King Jungjo was born. But in Myeongjungjeon, his father crown prince Sado starved to death. I think Myeongjunjeon must have been a painful place for Jeonjo to be.

There was also a place called Sungmundang. That was where the kings studied with their officials and discussed serious matters wih politics. Unfortuanately we couldn't see it very well because they had to restore the old building.

And I thought the best place was the Okcheongyo. It was the bridge leading to the Tonmyeongjeon. It looked very peaceful and dignified. The stones seemed to show the ages.It had carvings of monsters, so they could scare the evil sprits away.

I think Changyeonggung will be more spectacular to see in warm flowery spring. And also I think it is a really good place to go for a picnic. I am quite sure I would like to visit again with my friends.
