Hello,
My name is Amy. TToday I went to Geongun Palace. Daehanmun is the main gate of the Palace. First, it was Inwhamun, but it was changed to Daehanmun in1375.
The figures on the roof were called Japsang. They are from the novel called 'Journey to the West.' There are masters of Buddhist monk, Samjung, the monkey Sonogong, the pig Jeopalgye, and the imaginary water ghost Sao Jeong.
At Jeonggwangheon in the Gyeongungung, King Kojong used to drink coffee. He and his officials drank hot coffee in a small liquor glass. They swallowed the coffee at one time because they didn't know how to eat it.
Daehanjaeguk existed for 25years from 1897 to 1910. It's said that the independent empire that Gojoing established lasted only for such a short period of time even though King seonggong tried to keep Daehanjaeguk.
