today I went to geongungung palace. which the name was changed in to deoksugung by japan. when we go in, we can see daehanmun which is a maingate of gyeongungung palace. before dahanmun became main gate, inhwamun was the main gate. Next, when you passed the main gate, you can see junghwajeon. junghwajeon was made by gojong. before gojong built junghwajeon the throne was used in jeukjodang. jeukjodang is also a place for coronation. king Injo and gwanghaegun became king after the coronation in jeukjodang. Finally, is seokjojeon. seokjojeon is a western style building. interesting thing about this seokjojeon is mostly park is behind the building. but the park is infront of the seokjojeon. moreover, nowadays seokjojeon is used for museum. I didnt get any chance to go inside the seokjojeon but next time when I came here again I will going to see the inside of seokjojeon. It was a great time to visit here. but, I am satisfied with that I didnt see all of the building's inside and jakuklu. |
