Where is the museum that¡¯s famous in Seoul? I think it is the ¡®National museum of Korea¡¯, because it has lots of national treasure, and that¡¯s why we went there. We watched and learned about paleolithic & neolithic period, bronze & iron age, the three kingdom¡¯s age, and the north and the south kingdom¡¯s age. First, paleolithic and neolithic age was in prehistory age, which means we have to guess the age with the things that are left in the place. Anyway, they draw the things that the wanted to hunt in the cave in paleolithic age, because they didn¡¯t have enough food, but from neolithic age, they started to have enough food, and that¡¯s why they made comb pattern pottery. Also, they progressed like we are doing today. They first used rocks to catch something, but from neolithic age, they started to use some tools like fishing net. Second, in bronze and iron age, ranking system made because of the difference between the poor and the rich, so they had leaders. That¡¯s the thing that became a base to establish a country, and that¡¯s why it was possible to establish Gojoseon in bronze age, and the three kingdom¡¯s age in iron age. Third, in the three kingdom¡¯s age, there was Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla, but also, there was Gaya too. We usually think Gaya as a very weak country, but it was not like that. Actually, that was the end of Gaya, so of course it is weak, but it was a country that had good technology to make armor or the things like that in iron, and they also sold it. Let¡¯s talk about Goguryeo. But before that, I will ask you a question. Which word do you think when you hear the word Goguryeo? Probably you will say bravery, horse riding, fence, fighting or the things like that, and that is Goguryeo. They were brave, and good at archery and horse riding, so they ruled a lot of territory. About Baekje, it had a majestic skill in making somethings, and we can prove it by ¡®the great gilt bronze incense burner¡¯, or ¡®the gold crown ornament¡¯. I have one more question. Do you like gold? If you said yes, then your ancestor was probably the people in Silla. Silla people loved gold, and good at making golden crown, so in 10 ancient crowns, 8 of them are from Korea, and 6 are from Silla. Can you see the technologies that our ancestors had? Fourth, about north and south kingdom¡¯s period. You might be confusing, because we usually call them unified silla, but it¡¯s actually the north and the south kingdom's age, because there was Balhae, the country after Goguryeo. So, let¡¯s talk about Balhae first. It was the country that had a most big territory after Goguryeo, and also the last time that we had that big territory. Balhae was good at archery and fighting like Goguryeo, about also, in the capital of Balhae, there is lots of treasures. So, we can see that they were also very high cultural country and the unified silla too, because they bloom art of three countries. Today's trip was very Inpressive because I learned Lots of things that I didn't knew. Also, if I am given a chance, I want to visit Ssanggyeong, and learn more about Balhae.
