The last day of 담덕이야기
We visited Seodaemun Prison History Hall. This place have sad and terrible stories. It was opened in 1908. Patriots were put in this place. Many patriorts were tortured and died in here. Patriorts did many resistance demonstrations for independance of KOREA. One of the most famous resistance demonstrations was the March 1st movement. This movement joined more than two millions people and they shouted "Hurray, Korea Independance!". Japanese soliders arrested many Korean people. They put in the prison. Yu kwan-sun was spearhead in this movement. She was a famous freedom fighter. She was only 16 years old at that time. She shouted '대한독립만세' on and on. Sadly, she was arrested to Japanese soliders and she put in Seodaemun Prison. She had tortured to Japanese soliders in seodaemun prison. she died 18 ages after all. Although young ages, she resisted for KOREA's independance. I am deeply moved.
Do you know my favorite flower? It is Mugunghwa. It is the national flower of Korea. This flower blooms everywhere in Korea and lasts longer than the other flowers. It symbolizes patience and endurance.
Today, I feel many things in Seodaemun Prison History Hall. I learned that many people died and painful in here by Japan. Nevertheless We have many patriots and they tried for our independance. I'm so proud of them.I think Seodaemun prison is a tragedy place but we can learn and think about our history. Also, Japan was very crueled to Korean colonies. We must remember to this patriots that sacrifice themselves for independance.
