Hello my name is Seoyoung and today I visited Sungkyunkwan. Sungkyunkwan was the best institution for the most talented studens of Joseon Dynasty. It was very hard to pass the entrance test because in Sungkyunkwan, they only trained smart people. The students were taught confucianism because Joseon was established based on confucianism.

I would like to talk about Tangpyeongbi and Hamabi. In Tangpyeongbi, the letters were inscribed by King Youngjo's own handwriting. At that time, there were a lot of political factions, so the monument said not to split into factions. Hamabi is a stone tablet that says a person, no matter if they are a king should dismount from the horse and walk. Hamabi was at important places such as palaces, and we can also see the Hamabi at Munmyo. It tells us that Munmyo was one of the important places of Joseon.

Also I will talk a bit about Myojeongbi. It is the monument carved with the history of Munmyo. We can understand information in the period of the construction of Munmyo.

I think it was a great experience going to Sungkyunkwan.
