Today, I went to Changggeonggung. The buildings were very beautiful, because King Seongjong built the palace for his mother and grandmother. But unfourtunately, there were a lot of tragic incidents that doesn`t match the purpose of the castle. To tell the famous incidents, is the Lady Jang case and the Crown Prince Sado`s case. I will tell you about these two cases.

 First, the Lady Jang case. When Sukjong, the father of king Yeongjo, was king, he fell in love with a girl, even though he had been married. Eventually, he kicked out her and took lady Jang as his queen, but later took queen Inhyeon back. Shunned, lady Jang cursed her by shooting arrows in her portrait and wishing her to be dead. Soon, King Seongjong found out and gave poison to her and let her die.

 Second, the Sado prince case. King Yeongjo expected the crown prince to be great in everything. However, when he started abandoning studying and focused on military, he got angry on him and eventually ordered him to be put in a rice chest. He died after 8 days of in the rice chest.

When I found of the cases, I was very surprised, especially of the Sado prince incident, and I also felt anger at King Yeongjo for killing his own son. Thank you for reading.
