Today was my second class in Marie story. It was way more relaxed because it was my second class so that I became more friendlier with teachers and friends.

 Today we went to the Changgyeong Palace. It was burned during the Japanese invasion and was rebuilt in 1616 by Gwanghaegun. There are many kinds of sad stories witch are related to Changgyeong Palace. But! before knowing the story we should know and understand about the buildings in here. Even though this place is smaller than Changduk palace but there were many kinds of buildings. First of all, I will explain about the main door. This palace's main door is called Honghwamun. This dooris extremely beautiful because it was repainted recently with beautiful colors. This door has a special characteristic which is different with other palace's main gate. The difference is that this door is facing the east way while other doors are facing south way.

Second is Okcheongyo. It is a small bridge which is between the main hall and the main gate. Under the bridge water is flowing. The bridge has one meaning and the meaning is that when people goes inside the palace, they should wash and clean their mind  to meet the king. Also next to the bridge, the demon's face is inscribed so that this demon protects the palace from the fire.

Third are the throne hall and the main office. The throne hall for Changgyeong palace is called Myeongjeongjeon. It was the place for the big or official events such as wedding ceremony, or coronation. Also in front of this building, there are many small monuments called ranking stones and this represents the ranking.

King's office is called Munjeongjeon and this place is for king when he controls the country and there is a big sad story which happened in this place. The death of Crown Prince Sado. Sado was a late son of Yeongjo after his first son died 20years ago. Yeongjo extremely loved his young son and this became the big expectation to Sado. However Sado didn't like to study and he liked to play with weapons. Yeongjo disliked him when he played these and when Sado became older and older, the relationship between Sado and Yeongjo became further and further. Also when Sado controled the county shortly, he was closer to Soron so the Noron vassals told a lie to Yeongjo that he is playing only with girls. After few months, one day after walking Yeongjo called Sado and threw him a sword and ordered him to suicide. When Sado tried but vassals took the sword away. So Yeongjo brought a big rice chest and put him in. After 8days, Joseon dynasty's crown prince Sado died... His age was 28 and he left his young son Jeongjo who made the Joseon's Renaissance.

When I saw Munjeongjeon it was not that sad but when I saw the movie I was extremely sad. Today, the Changgyeong Palace was sad but beautiful. I think it was so fun but sad class today. Also the lunch was extremely delicious!! I like Marie story!!
