Today, I went to Changgyeonggung, the palace of Josun. It is part of East Palace with Changdukgung. It was built by King Sungjong, the 9th King. It was made for his mother, and grandmother. It was burnt during the Japanese Invasion, but King Gwanghaegun rebuilt it, so we can see the Changgyeonggung today. The main gate was Honghwamun, and Okcheongyo was the small bridge that has a devil's face. People believed that the bridge, and the water cleaned their mind, and body and make them ready to go to the Throne Hall, Myeongjeongjeon. Well, Changgyeonggung was different than the other palaces. The main gate was at the east side. Some things, and stories that interested me today, was the 3 bad stories that happend in Changgyeonggung. First was about King Gyeongjong's mother, and King Sukjong's wife, Lady Jang's death. The other thing is King Jeongjo's father, and King Yeongjo's son, crown prince Sado's death. This was actually the most sad thing for me, because king Jeongjo is my favorite king. The last story was that Changgyeonggung was turned into a zoo, Changgyeongwon by Japan. Todat's Damduk class was really fun for me, because I learned a lot of things that I got a lot interested, and also, the weather was a bit cooler than yesterday. I also did had fun with my friends. and teachers, and I am interested for tommorow too. Thank you.¤µ¤µ
