National Museum of Korea Hello, I am Rachel and today we went to the National Museum of Korea. In this place we can see the history of Korea which are Ice age, Palaeolithic Period, Neolithic Period, Bronze age, 고조선,고구려 백제 and 신라, 통일 신라, 조선, 대한제국. But I am going to talk about the legend of 고조선's first king, 단군. Long time ago at Bronze age, the leader of the people was 환웅, the son of heaven. One day there was a tiger and a bear wanting to become a human. so they prayed to 환웅 and 환웅 said "You can be a human only if you eat garlic and mugwort for 100days inside a cave without seeing any light." But the tiger gave up but the bear did it so she became a beautiful woman. And, 환웅 made her his wife and had a son. And that son was 단군. Today was great and I recommened you to come here. |
