Today, I went to Unhyeongung. It was the personal house of Heungseon Daewongun, the father of king Goiong. Gojong lived in this house until the age of 12, when he became king people began calling Unhyeongung palace. It was not an official palace, but it is still an important place in Korean history.

Heungseon Daewongun made the hanging board using calligraphy. He stayed here and met guests. He also discussed politicial issues, and he died here.

Norakdang was the women's living area of Unhyeongung. It is the central and the largest building in Unhyeongung. Myeongseong received lessons here to become queen.

The wedding ceremony of king Gojong and Myeongseong was also held here. I think I learned many things about Unhyeongung. And I want to go one more time and learn more about Unhyeongung.
