I went to Unhyeon Palace today. Originally, this was not a palace but a noble men¡¯s personal house. It became a palace because Emperor Gojong lived there in his childhood.

Do you know about the story of mid-gate named Deungyongmun? Lee Jangryeum was a military official but he saw Lee Ha-eung, also known as Heungsun Daewongun was drunk so Lee Jangryeum slapped Lee Ha-eung¡¯s cheek and scolded him to behave like a royal family. Heungsun Daewongun called him after being the father of the King and asked if he can do it again even if he is a high-ranker. Lee Ha-eung answered that he can do it if Heungson Daewongun acts badly again. After talking, Heungson Daewongun showed him to the door, Deungyongmun, and promoted him to a higher rank.

Because of this interesting story, people believed that if you pass through Deungyongmun, good things will happen. I wish there will be good luck to me, too
