Today, I went to Gyeongbokgung palace. Gyeongbokgung palace was the first palace built in Joseon Dynasty. Now, I will tell you about 5 places I saw in the Gyeongbokgung palace. First, I saw the Gwanghwamun gate. The Gwanghwamun gate was destroyed 3 times, because of the Japanese invasion, Japanese occupation, and the Korean war. But it was rebuilt with traditional materials in 2010. After the Gwanghwamun gate, there is the Geunjeongjeon. Geunjeongjeon is the main building of Gyeongbokgung. It held ceremonies such as cornations. Aroung the stairs, there are the animal gardians. I saw the Sajeongjeon next. Sajeongjeon was the king's office. The king and the officers discussed politics affairs in Sajeongjeon. The Gyotaejeon is the queen's sleeping quarter. Behind the Gyotaejeon is tha Ahmisan. The Ahmisan is built for the queen. The queen couldn't go out because of her appearanceso people built the garden for the queen. Finally, the Gyeonghoeru is a large place built for parties. The outer pillar of the Gyeonghoeru is shaped like a square which represents the ground. And the inner pillar is shaped like a circle, which represents the sky. It was fun visiting Gyeongbokgung palace. I learned lots of new imformations. I hope tomorrow will be also fun in the Unhyeongung Palace. |
