Today I went to Unheongung. It was my first time coming here so I was excited. This place is where Heongseondewongun lived. Why did he lived here? It's because of Andong Kim's clan. This clan was powerful then the king. So this is why Heongseondewongun lived here.

    There is only one third of the palace left. The gate is called Lough gate. It is tall because the horse to pass by. Inside the gate there is a place for the guards. They need to be near by to block the enemy. Next, there is Noandang. It means when they are old, they can live confortablely. In and in, There is a place called Anche. THis is a place where the women lives. Anche is here to protect the girls from strangers. This is also a place where Heongseondewongun's wife lived. However after Gozong meets Empress Myungseong, she had to move away. I thought that Heongseondewongun's wife was a bit poor. 

    The place where the important people stays is high up.(not that high)It's because to show the loyalty comparing servent and high people. In the room, at the bottom you can't see, there is a rock called Ondol. At winter, they food firewoods, then the warm air goes through the pipe and heats the Ondol. It makes the room warmer. What about the smoke? The smoke goes through the chimney and outside of the house. I knew that there were lots and lots of science at the past. 

    From today's trip, I learned lots of new things. I felt not very good because the palace wasn't big to say that it is a palace. It had different things than Kyungbokgung. When I come next time, I want learn more and remember some more building's name.
