Hanyang was the capital during Joeson Dynasty.At 1392, Joeson was established and together, hanyang was made. King Taejo chose hanyang as a capital using Korean traditions, Feng shui, and Confucianism. Also, it had Han river which makes the soil fertile, and a mountain that protect from the enemies. Also there was a shrine at the left of the king, and there was an alter at the right of the king.I think it was a good decision to choose there as a capital.

  There were 3 neighbors to Hanyang. They were Bukchon, Junchon, and Namchon. At Bukchon, royal family and high level officials lived. Because, it was close to the palace. At Jungchon, specialists such as painter and doctors lived there. At Namchon, there were low or poor official's house and also there was rich nobleman's secondery house.I want to live at Namchon which has great scenery.

  A patch was called Hyungbae. It was an embroidered at official uniform's chest. Only king and the crown prince was able to have dragon pattern. Civil officials had crane and military officials had tiger. The number of the animal showed your class.
