Today I visited Gyeongungung. I saw many interesting buildings there. I want to introduce them to you. The first one is Seokeodang. Seokeodang is the only two-storey building in the palace. It has no color and Jabsang because it is not as important as Hamnyeongjeon or Junghwajeon. Inmok, Queen mother was locked up under Kwanghaegoon's orders because he wanted his son to be the king not Kwanghaegoon. Next, there is Junghwajeon. Junghwajun is the throne hall, where the importat events were held. Civil service exams, coronations, royal wedding, and envoy receptions were held here. There is also a picture called Ilweolohbyeong behind the throne. Lastly, there is the Jeonggwanheon. It is where King Gojong used to drink coffee. Actually, the purpose of this building was to put King Gojongs portrait, but because of Japan it became a resting place. It was a very hot day, but I enjyed looking at the interesting buildings, and learning about Gyeongungung. Thank you
