In Deoksugung Palace there were lots of interesting things, but for me Seokeodang building was the most impressive place. Seokeodang building is not colored with dancheong(the five colors that represents the five elements which make up the universe) because it was not the place where the royal family stayed. I've never seen a uncolored building inside the palace so it was very impressive. The story of Inmok, Queen Mother was interesting.Under the order of Gwanghaegun Queen Mother Inmok was locked up in Seokeodang. For about ten years she had been locked up but thanks to King Injo she made an revenge by seeing King Gwanghae kneel in front of her before he was kicked out. I really like the end of the story. Even though Seokeodang was not painted in dancheong, l thought it was beautiful. And it is the only two story building in the palace.
