Hello everyone my name is Liam and i went to Sungkyunkwan with mariestory group.sungkyunkwan is a royal university for students who are smart,talented and think they will be good leaders to lead the country.The two scholars of Joseon Yi Hwang and Yi Yi face is portaryed in korean bills.Yi Hwang's face is portaryed on 1000won bill and Yi Yi's face is portaryed on 5000won bill.Daeseongjeon is a shrine whose role is to keep a spirit tablet of Confucius.Dongmu and Seomu was the secondary shrine of Daeseongjeon.It was a place to keep the spirit tablet of Korean and China scholars.Trees of Samgangoryun are the trees in front of Daeseongjeon the right tree has three branches and the left tree has five branches.These branches have a speical meaning. It means three Confucian gudies and five Confucian relationships. The three branches mean king and servents,father and son and husband and wife.The five branches mean parents and kid/s,king and servent,husband and wife,adult and kidand finally trust between friends.The trees species is thuja tree.Approximately 617years ago the students learned about Confucianism, so here is a place called Jongyeonggak in this libary the students only read Confucianism books. the 9th king of Joseon dynasty Seonjong wanted students to read more books,so therev knowledege can improve.Other than reading and studying about Confucianism the students also had to take 6basic studies manners, music, archery,horse riding, writing and math and geometery.The place is Yukilgak.I thought this is a essay i think it's more important about telling your opinion or feeling so i think i had a good time with looking around and i'm looking forward to go more wonderful places with Mariestory group teachers and group members today was such amazing and i'm glad to study and look around with this wonderful group Mariestory!
