Hello! My name is Sean, and I went to 창경궁 today. It was the fist time I visited there, so I was very excited.
창경궁 was built by 성종 king. He made it for his mother and grand mother.At the front of 창경궁 there is a gate way called 홍화문. It is very splendid and colorful . I wondered how the Joseon people colored it very fabulously! After you go trough the 홍화문 there is a stone bridge called 옥천교. they made it because they thought they had to clean their mind before meeting the king. I thought that at that time they were very loyal to the king. On the side of the bridge there is a face of a monster and that protects the bridge from the bad ghosts. The 단청 has five colors Red:fire, Black:water, Green or Blue:tree, white:metal, Yellow:Ground. I like white color because it looks very clean and bright. Today I went to a palace that have lots of histories in it so I learnt a lot and it was a great time. |
