Gyeongbokgung
Today, I went to the Gyeongbokgung Palace.
There is Gwangnwamun, inner palace, outer palace, and resting and hosting place. So, I want to talk about resting and hosting place. It have Gyeonghoeru and Hyangwojeong.
First, Gyeonghoeru is a large pavilion for resting and hosting parties. This is the official party place. It is supported by 48 stone pillars. The outer pillars are square and inner pillars are round. This is come from the Yin and Yang theory.
Next, Hyangwonjeong is resting place for royal family. This is a private area compared to Gyeonghoeru. The square symbolizes the earth, and the circle symbolizes heaven. It is also comes from the Yin and Yang theory. I learn many things in Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung is so large that my legs were hurt after we look around.
