Hello my name is Jihye and I went to the National Folk Museum of Korea. I learned about the life of the common people of Joseon. Today I will talk about the traditional games in Korea. There are lots of traditional games in Korea, like kite flying , neolttwigi, and sledding. Kite flying was mostly played in holidays. Like Chuseok and the Full Moon Festival. All men and women enjoyed it. To make a kite you would need a Korean traditional paper hanji and bamboo sticks. There is neolttiwigi as well. Neolttiwigi is a Korean seesaw game that many women played in houses because they couldn't go outside and had to stay at home. They said that it was one of the ways they could look out side in side. I think there are lot of traditional games in Korea, and I want to try them. Thank you for listening. |
