Have you been to National Folk Museum? Today, I've been to National Folk Museum. It was very interesting so I'll introduce it to you. Kwanrye and Gyerye in coming-of-age ceremony. Kwanrye is for boys, and Gyerye is for girls. At Kwanrye and Gyerye, boys wore horsehair hat Got, and girls pined their hair with Binyeo. In Joseon, coming-of-age ceremony was very important! Joseon peoples had coming-of-age ceremony in age 15 to 20. Joseon peoples had coming-of-age ceremony in age 15 to 20. I think 15 years old is bit too young to be a adult. Honrye is Korean wedding ceremony. In Joseon, people married in age between 12 to 15. And if you marriage early, you can marry at age 10. In my opinion, Joseon boys and girls would be a little afraid of wedding. 'Cause their age is too young to marriage and when girl gets married, she can't see her parents forever in Joseon. In young age, I think that would be a bit scary to them when they have to marriage in young age. I think I might! Sangrye is custom. In Joseon, they belived Confucian very strongly, and Confucian's base is be good to their parents. So when their parents pass away, they have to stay beside their parents grave. I think that will be scary. 'Cause Joseon people believed ghosts, and grave is house for ghosts! But their was more in Confucian. Confucian says, until the 1 year after their parents pass away, they can only eat porridge. No fruits, no rice. But I guess that is meaning how much they loved their parents! Jaerye is Korean memorial service. We have two kinds of Jaerye. First is called Charye. We do charyes on holiday morning. We do charyes at 'Chuseok' and 'New year's Day in lunar calendar'. And second way is Gijae. We do gijae on the day ancestor pass away. Every year when the day ancestor passed away comes, We do Gijae. It's very sad at gijae. I like to see the passed away ancestor on Gijae day. I wrote about Kwanrye, Gyere, the coming-of-age ceremony. And Honrye, Korean wedding ceremony. Also I wrote Sangrye the serious Korean custom. For last I wrote about Jaerye, Korean memorial service. I like to be a bride, but not too early like Joseon people. Not now, just when I get adult. Thank you^v^
