Have you ever go to the national folk museum? Today, l went to the national folk museum. In national folk museum, we can learn about Joseon people's lifestyle. I would like to talk about dol, and seasonal life because we can think about Joseon people's thinks and the appearance of life.
First, dol is the first birthday, and we did doljabi during the dol feast. There are book, rice, money, and thread. When childpicks a book, it means he or she will be a scholar. When child picks up rice or money, it means he or she will become rich when they grow up. If they choose the thread, it is believed that he or she will live long.
Second, people do all another things on each seasons. when spring comes, farmers planting and they make soil soft. During the summer, rice plants grow, and people makes some summer clothes. Autumn is harvest time, farmers harvest their croops, they repair the house and prepare for the winter. Duing the winter, people do Kimjang.
In conclusion, I found that the meaning of every way of life during the Joseon Dynasty was interesting and that the people of Joseon were wise and I want to live wise after them. Thank you. |
