Today I went to the National Folk museum. At the museum I learned about the koreans life. From the koreans lifes the most interesting part was the Kwanrye(관례) ,Gyerye (게례) and also marriage.
First, I learned about the kwanrye. Kwanrye was for boys who were 15 to 20 years old. They tied there hair into a topnot, and wore a traditional hat named gat(갓).
Second, Gyerye was for girls who are in 15 to 20 years old. Also the girls rolled their hair at the back of the head and fixed it with a long hair pin named binyeo (비녀).
Third is about marriage. Most people had marriage at almost 10 years old. We can say that they married before the age 20 years old. Usually the parents chose who their daughter or son would marry with. So the husband and bride could not meet until the wedding was held.
I think the National Folk museum is interesting with the kwanrye and marriage the most. |
