I saw a picture about the great victory against Sui China in the war memorial of korea.
The war happened in the 5th century. Sui China attacked Goguryeo with 1 million soldiers but Goguryeo defeated them. The Sui emperor was so angry that he sent more army of 300,000 men and attacked Goguryeo's capital.
The army was led by a famus general, named Wu-jung-moon. Goguryeo also had a famus general named Eul-ji-mun-deok.
He had a plan. He didn't fight hard for purpose and made the Sui army tired. They ran out of food and decided to retreat.
When the Sui army crossed half of the Sal-Su river because it looked like the river was little shallow,Eul-ji-mun-deok opened the dam.So most of the Sui army drowned and only 2,700 soldiers survived.
Eul-ji-mun-deok was a wise, and brave man because he found out how to win by not fighting. Everyone should follow his wisdom. I am proud to have a wise general in Korea. The thing that Eul-ji-mun-deok did is better than fighting. Than soldiers will not be too much tired, and the Korean soldiers will not die too much.
Thank you for listening. |
