The Chang-Deok Palace
Today I went to the Chang-Deok palace. I saw the He-Jung-Dang and Dae-Jo-Jeon.
The He-Jung-Jun is the sleeping quarters of the king. It slightly changed to a study quarter for
the king. It doesn’t have a Dragon Ridge because it meant two king because the king is
already a dragon. The Dae-Jo-Jeon is the queen’s sleeping quarters. In a way, the De-Jo-Jeon is more important than the He-Jung-Dang because the queen always stayed inside the Dae-Jo-Jeon. So, the king made the Dae-Jo-Jeon beautiful. I also saw the Seong-Jeong-Gak. It is the part of the Dong-Gung. Seong-Jeong-Gak is a main palace for Crown Prince Hyomeong and also the study room.. The Seong-Jeong-Gak has a sad history. Under the Japanese rule, the Seong-Jeong-Gak was used as a hospital in the 20th century. |
