♡Hello my name is Stella. Today I went to Changdeok Palace.

Changdeok palace is one of the eastern palaces.

It was built in 1405, early Jo-seon dynasty for King Tae-jong.

Also it is a UNESCO World heritage site and is the longest resident used by Joseon kings that lasted 505 years.

Although Gyeongbok Palace was built in the traditional way, Changdeok Palace and its garden were built in harmony with nature.

First, I will tell about Don-hwa-mun. It is the oldest remaining gate among the 5 palace gates in Seoul. It has a bell and drum. When the drum struk 33 times at 4a.m., it meant people could go around the city. And when the bell rings 28 times at 10p.m., this meant an expectance of a peaceful night.

Have you heard Chinese scholar trees? This means three top officials names 영의정, 좌의정 and 우의정.

In-jeong-jeon is silimar with 근정전 at Geong bok palace where they do coronations.

Seon-jeong-jeon is unique because it has a blue tiled roof. At that time, the blue tiled roof was vwet expensive. And It was a place where king did dailyworks.

Hui-jeong-dang is a sleeping chamber. Dae-jo-jeon had to be very beautiful because Queen have to be in there all time. Also Dae-jo-jeon don't have Dragon in roof because king and queen sleep together, and when king came into they don't need Dragon which mean king.

Seong-Jeong-Gak is a main palace for Crown Prince Hyomeong and also the study room.

The Seong-Jeong-Gak was used as a hospital in the 20th century.

Nak- seon-jae was built for Lady kim and king's mother. Seok bok heon was built for crown prince but king heon jong never had a son.

My favorite place was Dae jo jeon.

Thanks.
