Chang-deok Palace is a UNESCO world heritige site. It is built in harmony with the nature. It was used longest : 505 years, from 1405 to 1910. When you enter the palace you can see the 품계석, Don-hwa-mun, and Seon-won-jeon. The 품계석 is used when the king and his officials meet. They are called 정[?]품 and the highest level is the 정1품. There are 2 sides of 품계석's but there was a another 품계석. The people who didn't take the test stood there. An example is 허준. The Don-hwa-mun is 2 floors and on the 2nd floor there is a bell. It's rung 33 times at 4am 28 times at 10pm. The bell that rings 33 times means the start of the world and 28 times mean good night. Seon-won-jeon is the area were king did ceromonys.
