Changdeok palace is one of the eastern palace with longest residence of Joseon kings. There is lots of buildings and gardens. Due to the buity of these buildings, those buildings are appointed as an Unesco World Heritage Site. However, this buildings were destroyed by wars in the latter 16th century and people rebuilt these buildings after the war. There are lots of building for spritual ceremony, esidence for royal family , the hall for buisiness and a hall for diplomacy. Another palace, Gyeongbok Palace is built on a traditional method and traditional rule of architecture. I felt both greatness and proud about our ancestors' detailed calculation about the building and creative idea in saving precious national tax. Jo seon is now gone and they were first country that was ruled and conquered by other country. Well, that's kinds of humiliation. But Joseon still left lots of things like old palaces for us. And royalty, this can't mean somethings. Nobility can't afford us, honor can't earn profit. They may loosed several royalty but still, they left us a history and a heritage for us like a palaces. I felt the that my duty is to help the country by things that I can do and preserve those heritage for my descendant and our descendants. |
