Today, I went to Chang-Deok Palace. I was interested in many things. I was interested in Seon-jeong-jeon. That was where the king did his daily work. Also, Seon-jeong-jeon had an expensive blue-tiled roof. In-jeong-jeon was the main hall which had cornations and wedding ceremonies. The Seon-jeong-jeon was belonged to Gyung-Bok Palace. However, the Japanese moved the Seon-jeong-jeon to Chang-Deok Palace. The Secret Rear Garden was used for archery contests, military exercise, banquets, and fire work displays. However, usually the garden is used for relaxing. In the Don-hwa-mun, a heavy belly was hung on the edge of the roof with a huge drum. When the drum was struck 33 times at 4 a.m., it meant to open the new world. And, when the bell rang, it meant that it was a peaceful night. Don-hwa-mun was also the oldest remaining gates among the 5 palace gates. It's the style of a two-story pavillion. I learned and experienced many things today. I wish I could come to Chang-Deok Palace with my family and explain about the things in the palace. Thank you for listening to my speech!
